ArchiTeenZine

After creating the program in 2017, this first project by Elmhurst Art Museum's Teen Art Council (TAC) was the first major project by the group. Released in 2018, this self-published zine serves as a visual response to architecture.

In preparing for this zine, TAC explored many artworks and structures including the McCormick House, a rare single-family home designed by Mies van der Rohe. The zine highlights the individual, artistic responses of teens created through group discussions, experimentation with materials, personal reflection, and creative research.

The Teen Art Council was led by Joseph Hladik, Director of Education & Grants Administrator and S. Bailey Jacobson, Education Programs Fellow.

Funding for this program was made possible by the charitable support of the Terra Foundation.
